White Naped Mangabey

This species of primate is native to West African countries of Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Ghana. The species is listed as one of the most 25 endangered primates in the world, because of the virtual collapse of the population in the wild.

White naped mangabeys have long tails and muzzles with bare facial skin that is dark grey or mottled.  Their upper eyelids are strikingly white which they use as a communication tool in combination with a variety of facial expressions.
